Craig S. Russell, DC, CCEP

I was born and raised in the Yuba Sutter area and graduated Marysville High School in 1989.  After high school, I went to Yuba College where I played baseball and graduated in two years.  After Yuba College I received a scholarship to play baseball at Auburn University of Montgomery, Alabama where I got a medical red shirt due to a leg infection from a foul ball and gave up my dreams of being a ball player and decided to hang up the spikes and start concentrating on my education.  My next move was to Chico State where I graduated in 1994 with a bachelor’s degree in Exercise Physiology.

After my undergrad, I worked in a physical therapist’s office for seven months while moonlighting as a personal trainer at the Yuba City Racquet Club.  These two jobs gave me an excellent appreciation for the need for rehabilitation in the healing process.  While working at both of these jobs, I developed a lower back problem and tried to work it out with the skills I had acquired in PT and rehab but just could not get my back to full recovery.  I had been playing softball with a Chiropractor and he convinced me to give it a try.  That is where my life changed.  After a few adjustments, I felt better than I had in years.  To make a long story short, I was enrolled in Chiropractic school within three months and here I am today.

I graduated Magna Cum Laude from Life Chiropractic College West in September of 1999 and was treating patients within one week of graduation.  I am one of the lucky few that can say, I truly love my job.  My goal with every patient is to focus on treating the cause of their pain and get them back to their normal activities in as short amount of time as possible.  We strive to develop life long relationships with our patients through excellent health care and a family friendly environment.

In my career I have treated patients from one day old (my two daughters) to 101 years old.  I have the ability to reduce the force of my adjustment from very light for children and elderly patients to firm for those who require it to make the correction.  I feel that my athletic background has been essential for my ability to control the amount of force I need to make an accurate adjustment without traumatizing the joint structures.  I tend to get a lot of patients that have been to other Chiropractors in the past that stay with us due to the end results.

We are very fortunate at Russell Chiropractic Inc. that about 90% of our new patients come from patients referrals.  There is no better compliment a Chiropractor can receive than a patient referring his/her friends and family to us.  I have several families that entrust our care on their entire family.  I truly love to treat pregnant women through their entire pregnancy and then have the opportunity to examine the newborns spine within weeks of birth.  Mothers have a much less stressful pregnancy and delivery and the babies tend to thrive and are colic free.

At Russell Chiropractic you will feel like part of the family and we will make every effort to fulfill your Chiropractic needs.
